A classic 2D arcade space shooter. Take down waves of enemies with both semi-auto and full-auto weapons before the colossal Dreadnaught!
This project was a small team assignment for the Circuit Stream Game Development bootcamp with McGill University. Over the course of a little over 1 week, we used object oriented programming to assign different sets of variables and values to each acting object by type, as well as taught ourselves how to set up sound effects cleanly for the needs of the project, avoiding common beginner issues such as distortion and overlap from repeated use.
This project was inspired by retro and 2D pixel games one might find on much older consoles, such as Astro Warrior or Bomber Raid.
