A classic 3D arcade Motorcycle game with inspiration taken from Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2005). Rush around the city while chased in hot pursuit, collect upgrades for your vehicle and make the desperate jump across the raised bridge out of the city!
This was a group assignment alongside my peers with Circuit Stream, much of my involvement included Lead Game Design, Level Design, Visual Design, Sound Design, Programming and bugfixing.
Using simple but effective ways to simulate mechanics from the inspirational source, we built a large, colourful city with several sectors, where the player is chased by police cruisers. Using clever checks in the logic, much like Need For Speed, the project imitates the ‘arrest’ minigame, where if the Player is too close to the police, and is moving too slow, a value builds towards a failstate, ending the game if it gets too high. This encourages the player to use the buildings and sharp turns to make distance, but most of all to keep moving for an engaging gameplay loop.
